The other day when I had logged off from Draconity and went to the index page, the site claimed that page was off limits to me. Does this mean that people that haven't registered can't see anything of the forums apart from the logos and the only announcement present? Or was it just something temporary?

If i recall correctly this has been for a while..previously only the about you section was viewable if i´m right, but that still contains personal things in the introductions..so i think it should stay as it is right now

Yes, as I've seen almost everything is blocked for non-registered people so that they have to log in, but as I kept it right in my mind, just the blogs and the about you-section are visible, but just then when you type the URL of it into your adressbar.

As has already been said, it's been like this for quite a while.  Sel changed it, we have different views on it but it was his decision to make all parts of the forum unviewable to guests.

Blogs can't be seen by guests unless the blog owner has chosen in their blog settings to allow guests access.  It's something I mentioned in the newsletter because I felt that blogs should probably be non-viewable to guests, but noone contacted me to change their settings so apparently the ones who are viewable are ok with that.

Okay. Now I know that it's made to stay so... it's how it is. We are apparently still attracting new members with everything being off-limits for guest, so I'd say I'm fine with it. But yet it feels kinda strange to have it this way, though I guess it has its advantages as well.
