Something that I have encountered on other IRC servers is card games to be played on IRC. It's pretty darn fun, as you can play without needing time to shuffle the cards and whatnot and all that. I just think that it would be nice to have this on Draconity as well, if it is possible to bring on here.

I only know that these kind of game bots are way too spammy for a main channel. But if you can find someone to keep a pc running 24/7, you can create a channel on the network for this. i could, but i'd need to resurrect my old server first >.>

Alright, so what about having a secondary #gamehall channel for these things then?

I've always wanted to set up a quiz night on the IRC, or to have one quiz channel that can be used by whoever, whenever.  The quizbot some friends and I used to have on a friend's server a looonnnnggggg time ago was lots of fun but I don't know how to implement one, I've asked Sel before and he didnt know either.  It's something I'd still like to have a go at setting up at some point though.

Thought I'd mention it here to see what people thought but mainly because maybe we could have #games or #gamehall like Roc said where different bots are for different games - we could do different games nights every so often?

I've never seen an IRC cardgame before, can you describe a bit more how it works?

Aur; the thing works like this: You get random "cards" sent to you in a query when it's your turn. The cards assigned are random, but once you have them, you got them until you play them. Cards are, at least in the uno game I played, played by typing "!play <color> <number>". If the card is among the cards you have at the moment, and valid for playing at the moment, everything related to that kind of card happens, such as the top card being updated, persons having to draw cards automatically etc.

Right now just the card game, uno. I could look around for more games, and then perhaps alternate them, or have them available all the time, which is a little trickier :>

I think Xylios could have them available at all times. He's pretty good at such stuff, as he has an external server and not just his computer.

Also, it's not of that much importance whether it's at a household or a professional hosting environment..for an uno bot
