I see OpenID has been introduced to Draconity, not sure even when Selroth did that, but thanks! However, I'm confused. Last time I poked around with OpenID was over a year ago and now that it's introduced here I can't figure out how to work it O.o'

To what I understood, OpenID let you link together already existing accounts on other sites to your ID. Yet on Draconity all I see is an option to authenticate via OpenID or password, you can't use both, and I don't see a means of linking together my OpenID accounts. I thought there was a way to do it so that my OpenID on things like google, yahoo, (for others things like facebook, etc.) all link together so you can use any of your OpenIDs and still be able to log in, and failing that use your typical username and password system.

Any idea's about how to link OpenIDs or a simple clear explanation how it works here (and in general?)

At this time, only new members can register and use openID.  Existing members cannot be upgraded to use OpenID.


I can do it manually, but it does risk corrupting your account, and takes too much time for me to do it for everyone who would want it.


Eventually someone with a bit more expertise will write a mod or a patch that'll allow this function.

no worries about that Sel, what's confusing me isn't draconity; but that I can't figure out how to link my existing OpenID accounts together like Google and Yahoo etc.  However, just to let you know the system does give me the option under settings->authentication  the option to choose password or OpenID. Did you intend for that settings menu to appear for existing members?
