as for age, its hard to say because some people are more mature than others :3 how about 16? by that age that person should have already talked about this sort of thing with parents or at school.

Well, that's all fine and good, but if we are implying that it means something other that what you get, it likely means that we know what we're talking about.  Your generation is not the only generation out there, Lunarya.  Try to remember that.  You alone are not the authority here on what the word "sexuality" means.

I was just suggesting to use a word that everyone can properly understand and not misunderstand.
 
 
and I think everyone should have a chance to participate in such a topic, for age does not mean they dont have the maturity to be apart of a mature discussion. I'm sure there are even people here that are 18+ that don't have the maturity to control themselves. And if anyone proves they aren't mature yet... then they aren't allowed to post..(maybe?)

I think I understand where you're coming from, Rocangus.  It sounds like you're not sure if you want your parents to find out about the board; If they did, what would their reaction(s) be, is what I think I'm hearing.
 
Honestly, I think it's good to take that into consideration... for all of us.
 
I think we should have some sort of disclaimer as to who should or shouldn't post on the board.  Otherwise, I'm all for the 18+ idea.  After all, that is what they use in clubs, casinos, etc. ...

What would your parents say if they saw the site as it is now?  Heh.  If I were a parent, I'd be far more concerned about that than the small sexuality section.  Anyway, this inspired me to the solution below:

What I CAN do is create a forum that is invisible by default.  But, people can un-hide it via an option in their forum settings, if they choose to do so.  So, people who don't want to participate in this don't have to see it at all.  Those who are interested upon reading about it in their welcome email/PM, are able to enable it and leave at any time.


I'd like to make it a child board of "Comfort Zone" (like how "blogs" are a child board of "About You").  Name can be "Private Health" if no one can agree on the other words.



I'm going to make an official stance on if we do this, there's not going to be an age requirement.  There's to be no images or videos in this forum also.  It's a lot easier to enforce "no images" than an age which causes an involuntary division in members (difficult in itself) decided upon information that is inaccurate and unreliable.

Well, I was most worried about the credibility of the site, but we are kind of beyond redemption already, aren't we? So  if we're not worried about ignorant parents' meddling, then I see no other reason to keep an age limit, either.

Lost my virginity at early 14.. Exposed to too much crap and gone through alot. Ill post some things there sometime. Not too personal, but just interesting things to wonder.

I like the no real age limit idea. Course to be mature, youre going to have to show it. Ive also helped alot of people my age and older more in this subject/area. Anyways, so whats going to be the final outcome of this for sure? More members need to discuss it more maybe?

Funny thought... What if someone that has left for a while, comes back and comes up on this new board? Wouldnt they be all "whoooa whats this?"

In Sweden atleast (and I suspect all of Scandinavia) they teach us ''Sexual Knowledge'' or whatever to translate it into in 8th grade. So every 14+ from here should definitley know about it.
