Something about being the first browser to play video inside the browser itself.  That's why I'll likely never use the feature.  I don't do any streaming and really don't want to.

Selroth:

I tried to add another image to the gallery, and this is the message that came back to me after clicking 'Submit:'

Cannot find proper destination on the server, please contact your administrator

So I'm contacting my administrator.  Maybe you can use the above message to figure out what's going on.

Thanks.

If you go to YouTube, you do stream stuff. That's how it is.

Oh, that's what that is?  I did not realize that.

I guess I have streamed a couple things over the last couple months, but not a lot, like movies or the like.

Well, I think that's good in a way. Anyways, I think Sel already has fixed it.

I'm getting a few SQL errors all of a sudden when trying to browse topics.  I noticed the shoutbox went down also.

Had one here as well, quite recently.

Should be fixed.  I upped the limit and disabled persistent connections.  The load on the site would have to increase significantly to max out the connections again.

I think it worked, haven't had any more since then.

Having three problems.  First, I've been having issues where refreshing the index does not display new posts.  I have to actually navigate back to it (usually by going into my bookmarks) to get the icons to change.  Second, when I go to mark a board as read, it may remove the 'new' tag from the topics but the icon in the index won't change back.  And third, occasionally the 'new post' tag in front of topics will randomly disappear, usually when I click into the board with new topics (and there are definitely new posts).

All three problems are intermittent.  I'm using the 'dilbermc' theme.

SMF 2.0 RC2 is out.  Wondering if I should upgrade the site to it.  I tried RC1 a few months ago and everything transferred fine except the theme.

It'll fix a lot of bugs, and put in a lot of new features. However, it will introduce new bugs.

I'd say we should try getting to it. And any bugfix causes new issues, that's for sure. You can never, and I mean never, get a 100% stable and safe build. The longer something has been around, the less secure it is as hackers have had more time to work on it.

It certainly will introduce a lot of new bugs.  That's my only concern.  But if you're confident you'll get better results with it, I don't see why it would be a problem.

Whatever you do is fine with me.  Just don't close the site down.
