No, the domain will stay the same.  We only just got rights to own it from the original guy! hehe

So you are buying the domain from whoever had it before and let you use it? Or what is going on?

Nothing is happening with the domain.  All of that stuff was taken care of early this year.

For better or for worse, I'm targetting the upgrade to be implimented the Monday after Christmas - the 28th of December.  So...  Have a Merry Christmas, and hold onto your computer chairs!

Yes, indeed the forums do look very nice, and the feel is quite nice.  Good job, Selroth.  Much appreciated.

Two things....

First is the shoutbox, it isn't wordwrapping.  So really long sentences are squishing everything else out of the way, needs to be in a set box size like before.

Second is the blogs, they can't be in the "About You" section, even as a subforum, because that makes them ALL public viewing now and most bloggers on here had chosen to keep their blogs private and only viewable by members on the site.  If the subforum can be made to be not accessible by guests than that's a quick fix, if not then the subforum will need to be elsewhere on the boards (which makes more sense to me to be honest), maybe in the Chat forum as that isn't viewable by guests and is general chat like a blog is?

Everything else looks good so far :)

EDIT: I take that back about the blogs, seems as though the subforum is set so that all blogs are hidden from guests.  However there is still the individual option to make each person's blog viewable by guests but even with that setting turned on, it's not viewable.  So....I guess the subforum needs to be modified so that guests can view whichever blogs our bloggers want them to be able to view?  Or is it an all or nothing situation right now?

I made sure the blogs aren't viewable by guests.

Admins can set which blogs are viewable by guests (right now, none are), but not the blog owner.  People will also need an admin to create a new blog.  Obviously, this isn't very acceptable for the long term, but it'll have to work like this for the short run.

Shoutbox I'm trying to fix now.

Just to point out that if you look at the individual blog settings via the admin panel, they are set to be viewable by guests but still aren't viewable because the subforum isn't. There may not be a way around it in that case so all blogs may be just not guest friendly, which is ok. ...unless the subforum is made viewable but the individual blogs are hidden, that way round should fix it? I can play with that this weekend when I'm not at work :)

The permissions can be swapped to where "Blogs" is viewable and the individual forums are invisible to guest.  But we can do taht when somene wants it viewable by guests... if ever.

Just noticed it's got a different look now, seems a bit better, with the blog and art gallery, nice work.
