Wow!  I appreciate the offer, but I didn't exactly have anything readily available for such a request :)  Um...  Just be active in the community I suppose?  You could always take it upon yourself to organize a contest or project within the community - such things don't have to come from the administration!  Anyone else have any ideas?

I don't think you're a skilled artist or expert at PHP, so not sure how you can specialize in something around here.

I too would like to help out in some way. I found one topic for the new logo so that's one place for artists to help out. Poetry contests are a good way to get involved too. Even just posting helps out.

On the writing theme, I'll be posting something tomorrow for a competition along those lines :)

Well, we could start a donation button. Like where people if they want to support the site financially they can.

Hmm.... :dragon_think:

I'd rather not post a "donate" button of any kind.  I'm not really accepting donations, and I have no problem covering the costs of the servers and such.  In fact, I have hundreds of dollars budgeted to spend on this site for things like gifts, cards, rewards, etc.  Obviously not going to spend it all at once - it only got to be this much cause I haven't been spending it :)

Maybe if we get logos and stuff going, we can open a shop if people are really interest, things priced at cost + 5% profit for Draconity.org.  Or something.  We'd also be happy to sponsor/host shops/commission areas for our members, and they could share the profit if they want.  I'd feel better about accepting money from members if they somehow made money off the community, or somehow got something monetary or material from it :)

Right now, it seems I'm hardly doing anything for the members of the community, and certainly nothing I'd expect compensation for.  I'm in the area of feeling guilty for not doing as much as I'd like to for the site - not feeling that I've put more into the site than what I get out of it.

Today i was about to post something related to Draconity and something else about the dreams we all might have or not that are somehow related to draconity, but i wasn't able to choose which Forum should i use so i was thinking we might need a forum for spirituality and those kind things related.

I remember Draconomicon had a forum for this. (If my memory is not playing with me)  :dragon_confused:

Whadaya think?

Well, I think the reason for the current format is that some people didn't like the heated topics that were occurring the spiritually forum, and people still couldn't choose what section to put their topics in either.  :dragon_think:

*nods* Airy is right.  Sharion - if it's a topic to be discussed (such as spirituality) put it in Cooled because that section if for all discussions.

If things get heated then it will just be moved into the Heated section :)

Before combining all discussions into Cooled and Heated, we had loads of forums that would have 1, maybe 2 new topics every few months - which is wasteful.  This way everything is all together and keeps the forums active :)

Yeah, put it in heated/cooled depending on if you want a cooperative discussion or to try the integrity of your opinions.  It's really quite hard to classify the diverse subjects that come up in this forum, so rather than trying to classify it by subject we're experimenting with classifying it by tempo.

I like having two separate sections for discussion. That way those of us who prefer to keep things a bit toned down can do so without having a sudden hardcore post blow us out of the water so to speak. I give talons up to whoever came up with that.
