"Time Logged In" Error

I've been logged in for a couple of hours today and have noticed that if I keep active on the forum, the "time logged in" counter goes up normally.  But if I stay logged in and go to check other sites or get something to eat and am gone for a while, the counter doesn't add anything to my time logged in.

So I've just been here for 1 hour and my time only increased by 14 minutes :/

Um....  is that a problem?  It may only tick when it has focus.
