Draconity IRC!

The port for the IRC is now 6667 or 6680.

Yes, the draconity.org IRC is back!  If you use mIRC or a similar program then you can now get in there and chat using the details below :D

The connection details for mIRC, etc are:

irc.draconity.org
Port: 6667 or 6680
#draconity

If you don't have an IRC program, don't worry!  You can still access the IRC by clicking on the IRC Chat tab at the top of this website :)

A few helpful IRC commands are:
 /join [channel]  <---just change the channel name to whichever channel you want to join.  EG: /join #gamehall
 /list <---gives a full list of the channels available
 /nick [nickname] <---changes your nickname to whatever you want it to be. EG: /nick Aurelia
 /me [action] <---allows you to do actions.  EG: /me walks on the beach.  Would show up as: *Aurelia walks on the beach.

The same open attitude of the forum applies to the IRC.  See you all in there!

EDIT: Have updated this first post to show the new login details now the IRC is running on our own server and not someone elses.  The old port is still open for use so you don't need to change login details if you already used the IRC :)

EDIT#2: Have updated javachat info.

The java is also now working.  Yey!  Just click "Chat" at the top (by Home, My Messages, etc) to access the IRC via java instead of mIRC, etc.

PS I'm in Thailand so i could not talk at 100% correctly >_< and sorry for not log in to this web so longtime(cause of those competition :( )

I can report that I suddenly have gotten problems with the IRC. I cannot connect after losing the connection at precisely 10 AM GMT today.

We've decided it'll be best to just move the IRC to our own server (now we have that available) rather than trying to work out why it stopped working on the other one that isn't ours.  Bear with us, Sel is sorting the things out with the guys who gave us the server and the IRC will be up and running as soon as everything is in place on there :)

...I'm not very technical with this stuff so Sel will give updates whenever he can if there are any other than when it's working again! :)

The IRC server is up and running, however the DNS is not yet updated.  If you simply cannot wait, then you can connect via IP address 69.174.114.46 port 6667 or 6680.

Or you can wait a bit longer and connect as you usually do :)

Roughly how often does the DNS update? Just wondering. Also, congratulations upon succeeding with restoring the server! :smile:
