As many of you may have noticed Draconity was down for the past couple of days.

The server experienced a fatal hard drive failure causing the loss of all server features.

We were able to recover from a recent backup however as the old server is no longer functional a number of features are currently unavailable including the IRC and email.

I do not believe I'll be able to include IRC on the new server. Email will be handled on a case by case bases.

Things are still coming online now such as journals and several things may not work correctly yet. Should you notice a problem please contact me.

Gah. I hope the mail wasn't lost. I use the draconomicon mail for quite a lot of things. Wish I could access it soon again.

I think this might also be the reason I freaked thinking that I posted something... when it wasn't there upon looking, and I also noticed that I've got different threads saying I haven't read them when I did already.

IT LIVES!!!  ... OK, so it's been up for a few days now.  But it wasn't till the last day it was down that I knew it was!  I've been away, and for the first half of August I will be even more away.  My ability to help is limited, but I can certainly try to assist in any way possible.

Since we're now on a completely different server, that means that much of the software can be upgraded, and the site can be improved dramatically.  For now though, we'll work out the bugs that come with a new server :)

That's good to hear and all you Administrators and Moderator (that's if your helping to fix the problem) are doing a good job and we all know it...it ain't easy running and fix such a popular website.
