Alright!  Just keep in mind that after Monday, no more entries will be accepted.  Though I suppose you could still play around with the applet all you want :)  Maybe another contest down the road will use the same applet, with a few enhancements.

Well perhaps instead of triangles it could use circles. like a place point and hold to determine size of circle? Merely an idea, but that would provide quite a different picture than the triangles. Stylistically speaking, of course. If we did use circles instead of triangles a fill button (like on paint) would be necessary. Well, i look forward to May's contest.

ACtually, I first made an applet where you created a variety of different shapes such as squares, circles, right-triangles, equal-lateral triangles, and an eraser.  However, I found it more difficult to use and make images, and it certainly lacked a creative element.  However, with triangles, you can make any non-rounded shape.  It's also much easier to obtain effects such as 3d geometry and stained glass.
