Not that it's really any of my buisness, but I've noticed that not all of our members are taking the time to check over their spelling in posts.

I won't mention names, but there IS a SpellCheck for those members who have trouble with spelling.

Just thought I'd bring it up:)

The administration has occasionally contacted people before about not using spell check.  It is not really a problem for a person with the occasional mistake and typos.  However, if spelling and writing is poor enough, it can become much harder to read.  This is especially so for some members that have trouble reading or with English as a secondary  language.

Practically speaking though, the harder a person makes a message to read, the more likely people will ignore it.  Usually it is a matter of laziness when it comes to readers figuring stuff out and/or people thinking a message must not be that important if the writer doesn't take the effort of a few simple steps to make it clearer.

It is not like it is a crime against humanity though (although some normative linguists may disagree).  It is just a matter of hitting the preview button then the spell check button if you want to help make your message easier to read, especially if the message is something you consider important.  (Or if you have problems with our spell checker or find it kind of slow, sometimes I've found it easier to just copy-paste my message into a word processing program.)
